Shanghai Bio-lu Biomaterials exhibited its new products and innovative products at the CSITF 2015 – The 3rd China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair 2015, from April 23rd to 25th at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

Bio-lu received the visit of prestigious guests, such as the Minister of Science and Technology WAN Gang, the Mayor of Shanghai YANG Xiong and the Communist Party Secretary of Shanghai HAN Zheng. They were all impressed with the technological level of Bio-lu’s medical devices and supported the development of Chinese developed high-tech products.

The aim of CSITF 2015 is to build an authoritative display, exchange and service platform that promotes the development of technology trade, by integrating national and foreign scientific and technological innovation achievements. This event gathered over 1,200 renowned exhibitors both from China and abroad, as well as 50,000 professional visitors for match-making purchasing.

The first convention on innovative mini-invasive techniques to treat Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head

On April, 11th, Shanghai Bio-lu Biomaterials organized the first convention on innovative mini-invasive techniques to treat Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head (ANFH) in Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center. With special guest-speakers Pr. Wang Zhen from Xian Xijing Hospital and Pr. Sun Wei from Beijing China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and over one hundred orthopedic surgeons from Chinese and French hospitals, Pr. Lu Jianxi presented his new BioRod mini-invasive technique, as an innovative alternative to traditional methods such as joint replacement.

The surgeons presented their own clinical cases and shared their experience of the BioRod. This product has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of ANFH, ranging from early stage II to collapsed stage III cases. With over 250 operations, the success rate of the BioRod is over 95%, imposing itself as an effective implant to restore the quality of life of the patients.
